Barry was literally born and raised in the home building industry. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who were builders in the Seattle area dating back to the 1940s, Barry began working with this father in his early teens in all facets of home building—from land acquisition and development to foundation and finish.
A skilled carpenter by the time he finished high school, Barry worked in the family construction business for several years until finally branching out on his own in the early 1980s. Barry started with subcontract work for other builders. From there, he began building spec homes and custom-built homes for clients.
With a focus on work ethic and integrity, business flourished and Barry was quickly renowned and respected by industry peers and clients. Barry relocated his family and business to northern Idaho in 1995, building spec homes and custom homes from Coeur d’Alene to the Canadian border.
